Giulia and Joe's Wedding Journey

When Giulia and Joe contacted us about their wedding, we were very excited. You see we love when couples reach out to us from years before. Turns out we’d known Giulia and Joe from his sibling’s wedding. They were so impressed with our work then, that they had us cover their engagement session, the bridal shower, their wedding ceremony, and their reception. Read all about how this journey took us from apple orchards and banquet halls at the Venetian, to a scenic church in Etobicoke and Newmarket in the paragraphs below.

The engagement shoot was the first time that we’d photograph this couple. It happened in October at an apple orchard farm. That day was also coincidentally Giulia’s birthday, so there was a little cake present and we got some great pictures. The weather was quite hot which was not normal for October, but we had lots of fun and bonded together as a team.

The bridal shower was the second time that we photographed the bride. It happened at the Venetian Banquet Hall and the décor was amazing. We got to meet all the wonderful ladies involved with the bridal shower and believe us when we say they went all out. The words we’d use to describe the bridal shower are fun, amazing and awesome!

It is a testament to the great love and enthusiasm of this couple, that despite the continuous forecasting of torrential rain for their wedding day in the week leading up to their wedding, they were not deterred. That enthusiasm paid off. We were greeted with smiles by the couple and then proceeded to their beautiful wedding ceremony which was held at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Etobicoke. After the ceremony, we headed to Newmarket for the wedding party and couple photos. Here the heavens smiled down on us again because the sun came out as soon as we arrived and got out of our cars. It was all fun and beautiful from that moment and we got incredible footage of the couple and their wedding party. All 33 of them even joined in a water gun fight! As soon as we were done and got in our cars, the heavy rainstorm predicted happened. You can see why we’d believe that someone was looking out for us and this couple where good weather was concerned.

We went back to the Venetians for the reception. The décor was gorgeous and the food and service was nothing but extraordinary as usual at the beautiful Venetians. Beautiful footage also happened here and the party was AMAZING. We know the couple and their guests had a great time. We did too.

The history of our relationship with this couple is so beautiful. You see Giulia was diagnosed with MS in 2014 and founded a charity event to raise awareness. It is called “Miles For Smiles” and we were honored to be a part of the event this past March. That event was the 4th annual fundraiser for MS and about 680 guests filled up the room to support the cause. We loved capturing this event, Giulia, and we will make sure that we are there every year to support you! We also enjoyed capturing the moments at your beautiful wedding and love you guys like family.
